are you just going round random deviants pages and pasting this thing about a magazine, or is it genuine? And what will I get out of it if I contribute?

Thanks

Sorry for being so sceptic. It's just becasue you've only recently joined dA, and other people you've asked to help arn't axactly brill dev artists

yea, its ok i understand your scepiticsm, yes it is genuine, it's just totally new, i have only been working on the idea a few weeks, i want to gather lots of people input, good, bad and ugly, of all standards. the work i have asked people about on here is stuff i think would be good for the mag for different reasons.

your photos are particularly special. are you really 15?

i originally was hoping to send the mag out in britain but i have had interest from all over the place, new york, netherlands, turkey, australia, and someone told me i should check on here.

before i can start to publish though i need to make sure there is a steady enough stream of people who would like to be featured in the magazine and a big enough readership to impress the sponsors - the idea is that the sponsorship will pay the majority of the costs involved so making the magazine free or at least very cheap for students to be able to sign up to.

the benefit to people who contribute is that they can get their work out to a wider audience, including professional agencies etc that we will be sending the mag to - this way you could win contracts, gain feedback or just increase traffic to your site and maybe sell some of your work. its a way of getting noticed, publicity is something hard to come by for young artists and designers.

regards

james

ps i am a student myself and like to buy creative magazines but the cost is prohibitive, hence the idea of the free mag.

because i had quite a few questions i have written the following paragraph to answer most of the questions in one go. apologies for the copy and paste.

its is designed to be a print magazine (a bit like "computer arts" if you know it) i will also feature a gallery on the website too.

yes it is genuine,
it's just totally new, i have only been working on the idea a few weeks, i want to gather lots of people input, good, bad and ugly, of all standards. the work i have asked people about on here is stuff i think would be good for the mag for different reasons.

i originally was hoping to send the mag out in britain but i have had interest from all over the place, new york, netherlands, turkey, australia, and someone told me i should check on deviant art for interesting and talented people.

cost,
before i can start to publish though i need to make sure there is a steady enough stream of people who would like to be featured in the magazine and a big enough readership to impress the sponsors - the idea is that the sponsorship will pay the majority of the costs involved so making the magazine free or at least very cheap for students to be able to sign up to. (there are other elements to the business model but i cant give all my secrets away for everyone to copy)

the benefit to people who contribute -
is that they can get their work out to a wider audience, including professional agencies etc that we will be sending the mag to - this way you could win contracts, gain feedback or just increase traffic to your site and maybe sell some of your work. its a way of getting noticed, publicity is something hard to come by for young artists and designers.

hope this answers most of your questions. huge thanks for pople interest.

ps i am a student myself and like to buy creative magazines but the cost is prohibitive, hence the idea of the free mag. (a huge help would be if you clicked on the register page and also sent the site on to people you know.)
:iconscholesgraphicdesign:
Hey,

I would love to contribute to this magazine. It seems for a good cause too. Where do I get further info etc?
:iconstudentcreative:
Hey, thanks for the reply

visit the website at [link]

there is plenty of info on there i hope. please be patient though with the boring website, it's not built yet, it's for information only.

It would be a great help if you sign up. It's FREE too.

Look for us on facebook too. join the group. studentcreative.com
